This ecological reserve consists of just under 7,000 acres. It is a habitat for numerous endangered, threatened and rare species of native California wildlife and has some of Southern California's last vernal pools. Hiking, equestrian and bicycle riding is permitted only on designated multi-use trails. The reserve is open daily from sunrise to sunset and the Visitor Center is open on weekends from 9am - 5pm. Day use fees are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Guided tours, led by trained docents, are available to schools and other groups by advance arrangement.
