Temecula Music Festival Announces Initial Group of Selected Performers

Due to large response, more applications will be accepted until March 4 Temecula, California – Temecula Music Festival is thrilled to announce the initial group of performers for this year’s festival. Bands selected thus far are: Peachcake (phoenix, az), DORK (denver, co), Sputter Doll (san francisco, ca), The Outside View (temecula, ca), Ready for Vegas (lake elsinore, ca), Saucy Jack (huntington beach, ca), and Mache (temecula, ca). More bands will be announced next week; as well a bio will be available on each band in the beginning of March. The Temecula Music Festival 2006 is issuing a continued call for entries for the 2006 festival. The festival will feature music of all genres performing live on Friday May 19th and Saturday May 20th with an awards reception to be held on Sunday May 21st. Accompanying the music aspect of the festival will be an art show featuring music related arts such as CD cover art, posters and t-shirt art. Visual Artists should visit the website for more info on submitting their work after February 13 2006. This year’s festival will showcase talent from all over the world, representing all genres and styles of music. Bands, managers, record labels and agents interested in performing at this years festival should visit our website at http://www.temeculamusicfest.c­om for specific information on how to enter. Due to a large response we will continue to accept applications until March 4 2006 via mail. On May 19th the festival will be held at the Temecula CRC Amphitheater complex at Ronald Reagan Sports Park in Temecula. Festivities will begin at 9am with a breakfast celebration and live performances beginning at 10am on both the inside stage and the amphitheater stage. At 10am workshops will also begin, teaching bands and performers things such as proper press kit assembly, how to shop your record to labels, how to book your band on tours and other informative lessons for musicians. Saturday May 20th will be held at Java Jo’z in Murrieta California, and will feature acoustic and soloists starting at 12noon. Many of the artist submissions for the visual arts categories will be on display all day long; as well artists winning awards will have their art displayed in Java Jo’z during the summer. The Awards Reception will be held at Java Jo’z on Sunday May 21 at Java Jo’z from 4pm-8pm. Awards will be given to musicians and visual artists in both the judges and fan favorite categories.
