Marian Liebowitz, Clarinet Winner of the U.S. State Department/Kennedy Center 1997 Artistic Ambassador Competition, Marian Liebowitz has performed seven solo tours to Latin America. Currently a Professor of Music at San Diego
State University, she holds music degrees from Eastman School of Music, Smith College, and USC. Dr. Liebowitz’ domestic solo tours have included Utah, Oregon,
Tennessee, and statewide throughout California
accompanied by pianist Richard Thompson.
Richard Thompson, Piano Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, pianist Richard Thompson is currently Assistant Professor of Music at San Diego State University where he teaches jazz piano, jazz performance and history. He earned his undergraduate degree in music at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, his Masters Degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a jazz diploma at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
